If not, after reading this you will certainly want to start!
As a motorcyclist you may already be aware of the noise levels you are exposed to while riding – but do you know what effect this exposure can have on your ears?
When traveling at around 65 mph the wind noise can reach levels of 103 dB – this is the equivalent of a chainsaw or a jackhammer!
Exposure to this level of noise for even just 1 hour will begin to cause potentially permanent damage to your hearing and will also make you prone to developing tinnitus which could be irreversible.
Some people may think that wearing a helmet is enough to protect their ears from wind/engine noise but this is not true!
We encourage any motorcycle user, whether driver or passenger and regardless of age, to wear some form of noise protection. Custom fit ear plugs are ideal for wearing under a helmet, comfortable, easy to insert & remove and while provide you with 30 dB attenuation.
